so this week has probably been the longest week of my life and guess what its not even over yet! monday felt like a thursday tuesday and wednesday felt like friday yesterday felt like monday and today felt like a tuesday..this week has been screwed up so much! other than being the longest week of my life it in some ways has also been the best!
because on monday and tuesday i had the opportunity to meet so many new people, Alta has amazing kids! on wednesday i got to serve children of the lord. yesterday i got to catch up on my sleep and today i had the best seminary lesson ever and i am going on part 1 of our 2 dates with Chris Jorgenson! I am so excited!! (except i have to clean my moms car..) but thats totally okay!
in seminary we started off with me giving the thought. i did one from Helaman that has gotten me through the elections. it says no matter what you go through God is just saving you for bigger and better and that is all that matters! then we were talking about something that was hard for us recently: bam instantly thought of SBO elections and we talked about how it is hard and all. then brother west brought up service and how when we serve others we heal and help ourselves more than we help the people we are serving: again instantly thought of the Developmental Center (basically like special needs mutual) then we talked about someone we can't stand or don't easily get along with. surprise surprise a name came instantly to mind. but THEN we talked about how we should be nice to them and invite them to do stuff with you no matter how hard it is..well check that one off.. i did that she declined but i did it anyways.
and knowing that i did all of that stuff and was able to move on as fast as i did i am proud of myself because usually i am one to moan and complain and say poor me poor me. but not this year! yeah i am sad that i can't be SBO or be on cheer don't get me wrong but its not everything i realized this is high school..im only 16 i have a good 70+ years to do bigger and better things! cause in the long run none of this even matters. i can still help out around the school and i got my Class Officer Packet today! i am super excited about that..i'm kind of thinking about running for President to be honest! that would be awesome! :) so that's what i am going to do Jordyn Standage for President..but then again maybe i will switch to VP.. but keep in mind Jordyn Standage when you vote seniors..even though its like 2/3 weeks away!
i love our gospel and visiting the temple..i just love to go sit in front of the temple if i don't have church clothes on to go inside but i love sitting out front. so if anyone wants to go on a "temple date" to go talk at the temple i am 110% in! :) i love the temple and am so glad i can be apart of this church and live in the center of it all!
