CABIN FEVER

a little bit ago i got to go down to gunnison to a cabin with a few of my friends (before the cabin most of us were strangers with time that changed!) Friday boy kenna and i drove down to gunnison we were the shoppers and got all the food, which was great cause ya know we got some donuts for us... best idea ever good job ken! 

we got to gunnison and the troops rallied at boy's house and finally after an hour or so we all head out to the cabin! it had snowed just a few days before so the roads were pretty snowy but not too bad! we made it with very minimal reversing cause we didn't have traction. the first night was games games games games games. literally so many games and so much virtual reality! Which is hilarious by the way! We played about 100 rounds of murder in the dark and lets just say tanner was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. he had bodies dumped on him, murderers searching for him, and too many witnessed deaths! hahah it was hilarious (Even though i fell asleep for a lot of it) we also played 4 men on a couch the animal game and lets just say its hard when the pressure is on for me. i buckle and mess up.. but it was a good time. we finally hit the sack at like 3 am.

we slept for a few short hours before we woke up and shot some guns! we shot for quite awhile and lets just say im an idiot. well not at first i had beginners luck and killed a few of the clay pigeons, then for some reason my luck started to disappear only to find out that i was closing the wrong eye.. so dumb. but after we shot for awhile we had some lunch then decided we needed a nap. after nap time it was shooting time round 2. played a few rounds of annie oakley - i sucked but its fine it was just part of the experience! after that we had some chilli cheese dogs. we threw in some country dancing for a hot second and all was well.. until rage cage. for me it was ok cause nikki and drake drank everything for me so i just had to bounce it and stack it and i was good. sadly drake lost the first round and had to drink 2 eggs so nasty, he couldn't hold it down too well.. then nikki lost the 2nd round and had to do eggs and mt. dew mixed (?) i think thats what it was. but along the way kenna had to drink about 60 cups of dew cause she kept bouncing it in a full cup! poor girl! but poor nikki even more cause 1 cup had a bug in it and the dew went all over nikki! so funny but so sad! after that mellowed out we played loaded questions which was full of so many red lamborghini and pringles can jokes. 

after that we all just stayed up talking for so long. we were telling some embarrassing stories and trading back scratches around the circle and that got PJ's attention he was in limbo and would tell us the craziest stuff! I mean blub blub, everyone loves buttcracks and football, and how good half time was. the greatest comment of all was about his cute wife and how bad he felt sometimes for something he did around her! funniest comments ever! after that we decided it was a good time to go to bed. it was only 2 but we had all hit a wall. 

sunday morning we woke up made some yummy breakfast, said bye to drake and nikki then played bang. oh gosh. guys kenna has some bad luck when it comes to games because she had everyone going against her (thanks to rylan really) but i was the sheriff and made it all the way to the end and died right before the game was over. we shot for a little bit longer. i was practicing shooting in general so i wouldn't such when we played annie oakley again and chad boore had to shoot his stupid little gun right in my ear to scare the living crap out of me! thankfully i still nailed the pigeon but i am slightly more deaf in my right ear now! haha thanks boore! after awhile we played annie oakley again and I DIDN'T GET OUT FIRST ROUND GUYS. it was incredible! I did so good. cause i closed the right eye (haha really guys i am such an idiot) after that we cleaned up and headed out.

when we got to gunnison it was dinner time and boy's family was sweet enough to let us eat dinner with them so we stayed and ate and it was delicious, then we left for the city again. sad day. being in the small towns just feel like home honestly. when i am married that's where i'm gonna go it's just so peaceful and beautiful and fun! 

shout out to the new homies! you guys really are incredible. but can i just say my favorite part of the cabin was 3 specific moments. before we were all going to bed at 2 and 3 am those nights. there were 2 people that pulled out their phones and started reading their scriptures which reminded me that i couldn't go a day without reading mine so i pulled mine out and read a chapter, and that was honestly one of my most favorite chapters to read! it just hit home and made me so thankful. After that though one of them rolled over and said a prayer, i mean it wasn't out loud but i knew that's what they were doing. and it just made me so thankful for them and that influence in my life even though i had met them not even 24 hours earlier and they were already setting such incredible examples in my life. that happened the next night as well which just brought me so much joy to know i was surrounded by good people. and the 3rd favorite moment of the cabin was waking up sunday morning when no one else was awake (besides the 2 that were leaving) and just sitting outside for a minute breathing in the fresh air looking at the incredible view and just really enjoying the nature around me. 

so thankful for new friends, old friends, but especially boy for inviting me down there to be able to hang out with all of them. 

I wish i had met y'all earlier down at snow because we woulda had some good times down there! if you ever wanna come up to SLC and hang out go to a Utes game or something i mean i wouldn't complain! :)

OH MY GOSH HOW COULD I FORGET. on the way home from the cabin and the agren boys were following us.. until they decided to pass us. but that's not all we saw the full moon from the one and only tanner! but who could let them win lucas had to battle back and he did with the hang loose sign and all, on his way back in kenna said " wow i've never thought of hang loose like that before" lucas informed us that the wind felt good then quickly said just watch the cops pull us over and my ass (direct quote) gets deported... literally" oh my boy, kenna and i died. there were 2 full moons that trip!
